    After complaining about our stay at the Whalers Village, and believe me there were many, the General Manager promised us, in writing, two 3 night stays for the many problems we encountered. A letter stating this was sent to both me and my father in-law. My inlaws were traveling with us and were helping assist with our four young children.     Hi everyone I would like to share my unpleasant experience renting a car in Sicily. I booked a car from Orbitz and they offered me around USD 110 for four days, included insurance. At the office of Budget-Avis I was assured by the lady on the counter several times that EUR 235 is a deposit in case of theft and damage, which is refundable upon return of the car. After that I discovered that the whole amount has been deducted from my card. There was no adequate response to my claim and they don%u2019t pick up the phone.     I purchased an airline ticke through the ORBITZ web site. I checked and rechecked all of the details before I purchased the ticket. When I purchased my round trip ticket it was for the dates of June 1st and June 7th, 2017. My flight was purchased with insurance because there was a concern my appointment might have to cancel.     I was traveling to Washington DC for a meeting and needed an airline ticket. I went online as I always do when I'm shopping for a good price.     I selected the perfect flight for my needs only to find out a short time later that the flight times/dates were not what I had selected. I had made reservations for a car and hotel all based on my flight and had to change all my plans. The cost to change one leg of a three flight itinerary was only $60.00 less than the original cost.     The Orbitz service rep cancelled my reservations made 9/11/2016 as requested and made new reservations on 9/12/2016 to take advantage of a price reduction in fare. The agent made a mistake and changed the departure date from 1/28/2017 as posted on my original reservation to a date of 12/28/2016. The date change was not authorized by me.     I was given a voucher as compensation for them not being able to refund me the whole amount I paid for hotel after cancellation. I was put on hold for almost 1 hour while rep tried to get voucher approved. I was given case number and voucher number, but was told that they cannot email me the voucher or anything about the voucher.     I booked a flight from Montevideo Uruguay to Santiago Chile with a three and a half hour layover in Buenos Aires.     I flew to Seattle for a family emergency. I booked a three day stay at Seatac Value Inn. This hotel was 12 miles away from the airport, and 40 miles away from the hospital.     Today I called orbitz to asked why my friends and I's seats did not save upon booking (now none of us are sitting together). They did not have an answer.     With Expedia and Kayak I can search for airline flights just fine. With Orbitz, when I submit a search it goes to "Stand by ...Completing your request ...then eventually the search screen comes back with "Sorry, there was an error when processing your request. Customer service is a joke....
Orbitz have cancelled my tickets and still have my money, this has gone on now since I booked on 11th August and just when I thought it was sorted... It started again. So now they are telling me for three days in a row, that they need to review it. I'm so unhappy as now if I have to re book it will cost me much more. I can't get an answer and then they email me and tell me they rang me. But ha what a joke no missed calls on my phone. Today I am seeking legal advice, and I'm sick of being mucked around.

DO NOT BOOK WITH ORBITZ, their customer service (CS) is nonexistent, once they take your money you are out of luck if the situation changes or you have any issues completing your travel. This is from experience. My husband and I had booked a flight from NYC to Tel Aviv to visit the holy cities at the end of July and now due to the conflict between Israel and Gaza, we were warned by the embassy to cancel our arrangements and my husband could not get the visa. Once we found out we immediately tried to contact Orbitz CS (about a month before we were scheduled to travel) and they told us that we had to call Ukraine airlines,(they purchased the flights directly from them and it showed up as such on my statement). We did that and they said they couldn't do anything that we had to go back to Orbitz... long story short they refused to refund us the money or any other option so now we have to dispute our transaction with our bank, they want us to go to a war zone!!??!! Unbelievable. SO PLEASE DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM! YOU ARE BETTER OFF USING GOOGLE FLIGHTS OR PRICELINE AND PURCHASING THE FLIGHTS DIRECTLY FROM THE AIRLINE. I travel at least 3-4 times a year, I had a similar issue where I had to reroute my flight with Ethiopian airways and they were much more accommodating.

Hello there,

I booked a flight on Orbitz.com, but didn't realize at the time that it was 47 hours long with 2 14hours long layovers. I have a request, can orbitz provide me with a hotel in Abu Dhabi as a courtesy, I would really appreciate if you could make this happen. Or just provide me with a voucher that i can use to book a hotel.

We have now been sitting in St. Petersburg, FL for five hours in a hotel parking lot that we do not have a reservation, even after we made a reservation on Orbitz. We have now been sitting here for over five hours waiting for them to find us a hotel after they screwed up our initial reservation. We sat on hold with three different individuals in the parking lot of the hotel while we should have been checked into our one-bedroom ocean view suite and should have been sitting on the beach. This is the absolute worst customer service we have ever experienced and we will never book on Orbitz again. We are a couple that travels more than once per month all over the world and we will never ever use this site again. I am absolutely shocked at the terrible service of this company, and will be sure to spread the word to never use this service.

So this is my story I booked a flight due to a family emergency, and the flight was from Boston to Frankfurt to Munich and after to Moldova .When I got to airport 3 hours before the flight to check in they informed me that I can't bird since I have no visa for Germany since Frankfurt to Munich is a domestic flight . I went to Lufthansa ticketink desk to se if anyone can help me and all they said is that they don't have anything similar and that I should call the agency that I booked with which I did after 30 min if hold agency transferred me back to Lufthansa coustomer service since is nothing to do with them. Well after another painful 45 min the coustomer representative fro Lufthansa tells me they don't have anything similar unless I can pay 1600$ extra on top of my 2200$ which I already spent . I was shocked I hang up and looked at the time it was 4:45 pm my original flight left !!! I went to the counter for tickets and ask a different person if he could help me he tried but unfortunately since so much time past the only option was to pay 1252 $ extra which was cheaper then someone else told me and I have to depart next following day and with a stop in Munich of 11 hours so ill be arriving on Sunday at 11:55 pm in Moldova . I had no choise and I did book it.
Well now let's get back for my reason of traveling on short notice , it was because my father had his second hart atack and was in a hospital and in all this time I spent in trying to get to Moldova he past away .... Now I'm writing this on Friday night on may third 2013 , the sad story I have no choice to wait till tommorow to get on my flight that Lufthansa charged me again to get there on almost Monday when is my loved fathers burial .
I will leave the same rewiev to orbitz which I will advice to evryone never to use.

I Booked A Hotel In Myrtle Beach For St. Patricks Day(3/15-3/17)Weekend Through Orbitz. I Recieved An E-Mail That Confirmed My Reservations. After Driving 5Hrs To Get To My Destination, The Hotel Had A Cancellation Notice From Orbitz. I Never Cancelled! I called Orbitz Customer Service Line, Just To Be Put On Hold For Over 45Minutes. I Couldnt Get Through To Anyone. Luckily, The Hotel Had A Room Left. I Went Ahead And Paid Through The Hotel Which Was $70 More Dollars Than What I Had Originally Paid Orbitz, And Stayed.I couldnt Get Through To Customer service Until The Next Day At Orbitz.The CustomerService Representative Was VERY Rude To My Complaint. VERY Rude. She Argued, Cut Me Off From Talking, Put Me On Hold WHILE I Was Talking...Was Very Unhelpful. After Being On The Phone With Her For Over An Hour, She Said I Should Recieve My Refund From orbitz Within 72 Hour. What About The Extra $ That I Had To pay At The hotel? What About The Extreme Inconvenience? What About A Cancellation Fee For Reservations That I Didnt Even Cancel? We Shall See. I Am A Returning Customer Of Orbitz, But After What I Was Put Through, They Have Lost Me As A Customer. I Will Not Be Using Them Again.

I was trying to purchase an airline ticket online. what happend, It did not went thru and I did it again and again hopeping that it will go through it didnt. I went banking online right away, OMG orbits chargrd my cards $2 three time. I was so disappointed because the transaction it didnt went through not complete but they charged us anayway. I called orbitz 800 number and the lady that answer the call said, "oh its just a pendig charges". I think orbitz its a rip off! the transcas it did not went through but yes they already charged me 2$ three times. I thought i can save money but no I ended up charges in my card that i didnt even get. it is a rip off! I try t convience another orbitz customer service if she could wave the phone charged if i do it on the phone because i couldnt do it online but she said she cant wave the $25 phone transaction fee, it is a rip off! instead of helping me to wave the $25 dollars they try to get more money out of me. It is a total rip off!

Orbitz vacation booking misleading

When I made my booking for a vacation trip in Cancun on March 4th on the Orbitz Web site, the option of "all inclusive" was offered and I made sure that I selected it. In the reservation confirmation, the note "EXCLUSIVE! Beach Hotel Promotion" was included which I interpreted as being the indication of the "all inclusive" option. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that they had not had any agreement with Orbits for "all inclusive" since March 2011. Having re-checked Orbitz Web site for the same travel package on March 24th, the option of "all inclusive" no longer appeared. I called the Orbitz office from the hotel on March 24th and after an hour of wait and transfer, I was told that this was my word against theirs and nothing would be done. My guess is that this misleading information on the Orbitz Web site resulted from a sloppy maintenance of the Web site and they would not recognize their error. This is unacceptable. Beware!!!

Excursion RIP-OFF!!!! I booked my trip through Orbitz instead of going directly through the cruise line because they offered a $70.00 credit on an excursion. I chose an excursion and paid the extra $56.00. Then when I took the trip I realized that this excursion that THEY offered could not be taken because we would not be there yet. It never should have been offered. Worse part......not only did my travel agent through orbitz not help, but neither did orbtz. They pushed me off onto shore excursions (the company orbitz booked through)They denied me twice saying that 6 other people from my boat were there.Lie lie lie!!. I had to contact Carnival and get them to send me an email with the details of the time table that the ship was on to prove I wasn't there. Carnival who I didn't book from helped me when Orbitz did NOTHING. I did get back my $56.00 after all that effort but got screwed on the Orbitz end. FOOL ME ONCE SHAME ON YOU. FOOL ME TWICE SHAME ON ME.....That's not gonna happen

Don't use orbitz to plan ur vocation they will lie to u n tell u how great everything is but when u get to the flight/hotel it's nothing like they say it is (in a bad way of course)
