Orbitz Price Assurance is a Scam - PRICE ASSURANCE
Beware, Orbitz price assurance is not what it sounds like. If the ticket you book goes down in price you DO NOT get a refund... you only get the refund if another orbitz customer (not any customer) books the same trip, same day, same flight.
After waiting on hold and talking to many people at orbitz I understand the policy now but still feel tricked and misled. To make matters worse after a little googling you can find hundreds of stories of people having proof that a friend or relative bought a ticket meeting all criteria but orbitz did not automatically give the refund. Only after many calls and sending documentation did SOME not ALL of these people get their refund.
Orbitz clearly does not have a working system and they are not concerned with fixing it. If they would they would contact me and send me my refund.
