Orbitz Sucks!!!! - Orbitz customer service

Be careful and do not book anything through Orbitz. If anything goes wrong their customer service means transferring you all over the world. We were on the phone for 4 hours and they did not help us at all. We booked through Orbitz a room with jacuzzi for our first wedding anniversary and they canceled our reservation day before. Happy anniversary to us!!!!!

I had a flight booked through Orbitz from SFO to Atlanta roundtrip. I even purchased travel protection. So now I'm moving to Washington and needed to change my departure and return. Orbits told me that since I am flying on Frontier I have to contact them. Half way through their introduction they let you know if you use their Customer Service to change your flight it'll cost you an extra $25.00, so I opted to use the website (which I was not told about). Once I get their, the final cost to change my flight was twice the amount of my original purchase, and the travel protection was valid only through Orbitz! Frontier charges you for seat selection (no other choice), and for carry-ons and all checked baggage. The price went astronomical. I will not use this service again and I would certainly not recommend them to anyone else or Frontier Airlines.

Terrible experience with Orbitz. I show up to the airport only to find that Orbitz canceled my reservation. The flight was paid for... And I have the email conformation with seat assignment. Customer service said they did not cancel my reservation.. Alaska airlines says they did... Meanwhile I sit here in the airport wondering what to do and no one will help. I will never use Orbitz again and neither should you.

In May of this year my wife became so ill she could not use a flight booked on Cheap Tickets. Our attempts to obtain a refund since have been complying with Cheap Tickets requests for doctor letters, emails of explanations and many, many phone calls. I even wrote to Christopher Orton, President of Orbitz/Cheap Tickets in Chicago but never received so much as an acknowledgment. Cheap Tickets Customer Service in Chicago REQUESTED that I follow a refund procedure that I later discovered does not even exist. They are either ignorant of their policies or derive some pleasure from observing customer efforts that achieve nothing. Finger pointing between them and British Airways has been going on since May of this year. For all my efforts, and responding to THEIR REQUESTS, I have one letter from a Ms. Harshada Kadam of British Airways telling me to contact Cheap Tickets for a ticket refund. And I have lost $1700. The absolute worst online business company I have dealt with. Avoid them at all costs.

we booked a cruise on Orbitz.they offered an on board credit if we booked an outside cabin.

We did for 3 people and when we paid, they gave us a hotel promo credit, that if we booked a hotel for $75 we get a discount. How absurd. we wanted the on board credit and they said they don't offer it. everyone ESLE offered this on board credit and they wouldn't give us the credit.


when I called, they were rude and told me I should've booked it with another vendor.Even when I spoke to the "supervisor" they were no help 601fa1
