Very poor problem resolution - Orbitz customer service


I originally booked a flight to Istanbul with ORBITZ.COM on 2/23/11 that included US Airways flight #6734 from SFO to LAX. There was a schedule change on 8/21/11 and I was notified that I had been switched to US Airways flight 6530. However at that time I was not re-accommodated by United who operates the flight. This was not discovered by ORBITZ, but by myself. When I contacted ORBITZ on 9/6/11 they would only accommodate me on US Airways flight #6730, which imposes a 9 HOUR LAYOVER.
After speaking with supervisors, managers and numerous agents at ORBITZ, I was unable to reach a satisfactory resolution, even though I was informed by both US Airways and United that there were multiple flights with seats available that better accommodated my travel plans.
Given that without my diligence in contacting US Airways and United, I would have arrived at the airport with ORBITZs' guarantee that everything was fine, but would not have actually been able to travel, I believe ORBITZ has acted in bad faith as my agent.

I recently had the worst travel experience through orbitz I have ever had in my life. I and my gf booked an all inclusive trip to St. Thomas only to find out when we arrived that orbitz took our money and did not book us all inclusive. We were the third couple the hotel said orbitz did that to that weekend! They called us on our cell phones for 4 days running our phone bill up to $465. They tried to offer us $200 for the inconvenience. Leaving our hotel to exchange the piece of junk AVIS gave us we were in a head on collision causing injuries to both of us. Were are both RNs and now are trying to work with these injuries. AVIS told us that they had no other car for us and we only had the option to drive the one given with a bad transmission and cracked tail light. We would never had been in this collision if orbitz did not commit fraud in the first place. I say that due to the fact I was in the lobby on my laptop trying to get someone to listen for over an hour before heading to AVIS to change cars. Mr. Barney Harford if you read this complaints I strongly suggest you fix these problems before your company goes under. Orbitz the worst company by far I have ever been a customer of.
