canceled flight and unable to rebook - AIRLINE TICKETS


Booked a flight through Orbitz and then some circumstances came up and was unable to leave then. So we canceled the flight online and the website said we had until september of 2012 to rebook. Ready to book and it is only November and know they say it had to be booked by October. Same thing as I have seen Orbitz blames the airlines and the airlines blames Orbitz. All I know is I am out $550.00 dollars and They keep saying they are working on it with the airlines when I call them back after they do not call me back when they say they will. Know all the flights are booking and the prices keep going up. Guess I just need to book another flight through someone else as it seems this is a good scam through orbitz to make money so they can stay in business because it is sure not through customer service that they are doing it.
