Cancellation policy that ONLY benefits Orbitz - Orbitz booking number: PBORB-343-221-6084
I had to cancel a planned trip to Las Vegas due to unforeseen work commitments for travel scheduled for Thursday Sep 25, 2014 at 7:05 AM on BWI US Airways 647 arriving to LAS US Airways 1836 at 11:51 AM. My Orbitz booking number: PBORB-343-221-6084. When I attempted to book another wanting to use the value of the ticket as a credit towards my new flight, I discovered their would be a severe penalty fee assessed ($200 ), "convenience fee" of ($20) since you have to call the Orbitz toll-free number, plus the cost of the flight I would be booking. How is this new Cancellation Policy benefiting the consumer when unforeseen occurrence occur and a customer is unable to make their reservation? This is absurd!! As a PAST long-term user of Orbitz.com services, I have been continuously let down by their inconsiderate business practices at my expense. Orbitz.com will continue to lose business as Orbitz.com continues to use inappropriate business practices in order to sustain their deteriorating presence in the marketplace.
