NOT user friendly - Car Reservation


I booked an online reservation with Orbitz for a hotel and car rental two months in advance of needing them. There was no option to change car rental dates and differentiate them from hotel booking, but if someone needs a vehicle in one state and books a hotel in another state . . . obviously, it is going to be on different dates and sometimes, one date in advance is insufficient. I booked online anyway and called the car rental # displayed on my reservation. They told me they could not help, I would have to call Orbitz. Orbitz told me they could not help. They wanted to cancel my reservation, instead. They would rather loose a customer than 1) ensure up front that customers can choose ANY date for secondary services or 2) simply changing the date for me. Completely and utterly STUPID. I won't make the mistake a second time.
