Worst travel Day - Bad experience with Orbitz

So i booked 2 flights through orbitz one for my Grandma and one for my self.. this is where things get sticky, my grandma was heading to a surgery in Jamaica and i was travelling from Orlando via Miami to meet here in Jamaica. Now i got to Miami a little after 7am and was in constant contact with my mom who accompanied my Gma to the airport until i got the call that her ticket was cancelled..i then called orbitz and was on the phone for over 2 hours until they realized that the the booking agent (Jay) sent me a confirmation email of a flight before confirming that he did book the flight on his end, after 2hr the supervisor told me i would get a credit to which i assured him this was past that and i would like a refund, after being transferred to corporate to Edgar i was hung up on in less that a minute with no call back. After 20min i took this time to call and cxl the hotel and was charged $185 bear in mind my flight was $417 and my Gma's flight was $857, after cxling the hotel i called back Orbitz and spoke to another Supervisor her name was (And) and i must admit she was sweet and understanding and after being on hold for most of the hour and a half on the line i got refunded the $857 for my Gmas flight but i still lost $1017.00 for the Hotel and my flight (185+417) in addition to the cost of booking a flight now from Miami back home to orlando which was another $415 i was on Miami airport from after 7am to 430 pm a day wasted a well needed surgery cancelled and a lost of money so yes i did get back a refund for one flight but still lost over a thousand and more with the second flight ,hotel and rebooking to get home....
